Russell E. Bloodworth, Executive Vice President
 
Responsibilities: As executive vice president, Bloodworth is responsible for the firm’s planning and development activity and is involved in the firm’s management and strategic planning. He provides strategic direction to the Office Development Team, oversees all large scale multiple-use projects, establishes joint ventures and works with large users.
 
Professional Record: Bloodworth has been directly involved in the development of $200 million of office facilities (twenty-three major office facilities exceeding 2 million square feet) from pre-zoning through occupancy. He developed a collection of high-end neighborhoods in East Memphis, including the Gardens of River Oaks, The Cloisters, Blue Heron and Green Shadows. He has directed the planning, zoning and development of six major multiple use projects in excess of 2,000 acres, including Ridgeway Center, the Regalia, Humphreys Center, Schilling Farms, Century Center and River Oaks.
 
Education: Bloodworth has an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia, studied Environmental Design at Yale University, was an American Scandinavian Foundation Fellow in Sweden and a Knight Fellow at the University of Miami. An avid artist, examples of his work may be seen here. Bloodworth's study of the Squares of Belgravia and Kensington is a useful tool for developers and designers.
 
Professional Affiliations: Bloodworth is currently Chair of the Urban Land InstituteMemphis District, a member of Lambda Alpha Real Estate Fraternity, and the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) Previously, he has served on the Memphis Board of Realtors Environmental Committee, the Large Scale Development Council of the ULI, and was the Memphis Board of Realtors Planning and Zoning Committee Chairman.
 
Civic and Community Involvement: Bloodworth has served as a Trustee for Memphis University School, Presbyterian Day School and the Hutchison School. He was Chairman of “Paint the Town Red” for City Beautiful and served on the Poplar Corridor Task force in the mid 80’s. He is a Director of Financial Federal Savings and Loan.
 
Honors and Awards: Bloodworth was named Associate Realtor “Man of the Year” by the Memphis Board of Realtors, and Southern Living magazine also recognized him for his sensitivity to environmental issues. In 2009, he was inducted into the Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame by the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) Commercial Council. Also in 2009, he was selected for BusinessTN magazine’s annual list of the 101 most influential people in commercial real estate in Tennessee.  In 2010, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Memphis Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.
