John Doherty

Responsibilities:As Vice President of Boyle, Doherty provides program management and project team coordination on office development projects, works with the primary user’s project team, and is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the project

Professional Record:With Boyle since 1988, Doherty has 26 years of experience in the engineering development and construction field. He has been directly involved in the development of 4 million square feet of major office facilities. Specific experience includes (i) incorporating all data and telecommunications requirements for regional and national coordination in the 190,000 square foot United States Postal Service Southern Regional Headquarters, (ii) technical requirements for the 155,000 square foot Sedgwick James North American Headquarters building that included redundant fiber service from multiple providers and satellite uplink facilities capable of providing international telecommunications links, (iii) working directly with Thomas & Betts and the State of Tennessee and local government agencies on state benefits -- Tennessee Industrial Infrastructure Program. Recent projects include infrastructure development for the 40 acre Meridian Cool Springs project in Franklin, TN. Major office building developments include build-to-suit corporate headquarters for Community Health Systems, Thomas & Betts and Baptist Memorial Health Care Systems. Doherty was responsible for the implementation and successful completion of all projects while serving as the point-of-contact to the end user.

Education:Doherty received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee. Doherty has attended numerous seminars dealing with all facets of construction management. He is a LEED AP.
