Ron Gant

Responsibilities:As Senior Vice President of Boyle Insurance Agency, Ron provides management assistance to President Steve Peay and also serves as a producer. Ron also felt called upon to serve his community in the Tennessee House of Representatives and in 2016 was overwhelmingly elected to represent the 94th District in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He quickly earned his colleagues’ trust and was elected to serve as the Freshman Leader of his incoming class and Majority Assistant Floor Leader in the 110th General Assembly. In 2018, Ron was elected to serve as the Assistant Majority Leader by his peers. In this position, Ron is responsible for guiding the Governor’s legislative agenda through the House of Representatives. In the General Assembly, Ron is a member of the Finance, Ways and Means Committee, Education Committee, Civil Justice Committee, and Children and Family Affairs Committee.

Professional Record:Ron started his career in Collierville as an insurance agent at Collierville Insurance Agency located on the Collierville historic town square. Ron served as Vice President and then President of Insurance Associates of Tennessee Inc. for 17 years and then sold the firm in 2017. Ron joined Boyle Insurance Agency in August 2018.

Education:A fifth-generation Tennessean, Ron was born and raised in Collierville, Tennessee, and attended Collierville Elementary, Rossville Christian Academy and the University of Tennessee, Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program. Ron studied business at Liberty University.

Professional Affiliations:Ron served as Chairman of the Rossville Christian Academy school board. He served as Fayette County Commissioner from 2006–2010. He is Founding Vice Chair of the Fayette County Carl Perkins Center for Prevention of Child Abuse. He is a member of the Somerville Rotary Club and FBI Citizens Academy. He is an active outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing and attending sporting events.
