Acclaimed Detroit Restaurants Make Tennessee Debut at Capitol View

Joe Muer Seafood and Andiamo Presto, two concepts owned by the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, are set to open their first Tennessee locations in January 2023 at Capitol View, the mixed-use urban district in downtown Nashville, developed by Boyle Investment Company.

Joe Muer Seafood, an iconic Detroit staple, and Andiamo Presto, a new casual concept from the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, will have separate, unique dining rooms and patios but share a kitchen in the 12,000 square-foot restaurant space.

Both restaurants will be located at the 500 11th Ave. North Block building home to HealthStream, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. The award-winning Joe Vicari Restaurant Group has been based in Metro Detroit for over 30 years, and the expansion to Nashville is the brand’s first move into the Tennessee market.

Joe Muer Seafood, a staple in Detroit since 1929, will offer an upscale dining experience serving fresh seafood, premium aged meats, free-range hormone-free chicken, and an award-winning wine list. Andiamo Presto, a new take on the classic Andiamo Italia restaurant, will feature a relaxed, casual atmosphere paired with the handmade pasta, soups, and salads for which the brand is known.

“We felt it was time to take our ideas, concepts, and menu items and expand them outside of Michigan,” said Joe Vicari, president of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. “It’s a big step; but we are excited to be doing so in Nashville, which has shown extraordinary growth over the years and has the demographics to support the concepts for our restaurant brands. Capitol View checked all the boxes of downtown access with a true neighborhood feeling. We look forward to serving the Nashville market an exemplary dining experience complete with exceptional food and drink choices in a gorgeous ambiance.”

The district, which is easily accessible from the downtown core and the surrounding Nashville neighborhoods, has been the location of choice for many first-to-market brands, including VICI, Condado Tacos, VSL Nails, Central BBQ, and the addition of Joe Muer Seafood and Andiamo Presto.

“We’re excited for Nashville to get to experience the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group,” said Mark Traylor, partner at Boyle Investment Company. “Their ability to weather the COVID storm shows their acumen and prowess as restaurateurs, and we’re proud that they chose Capitol View for their expansion. The combination of classic Nashville staples and highly successful brands from other markets opening their first locations in Nashville makes the Capitol View project unique.”

Joe Muer Seafood and Andiamo Presto will join tenants including M.L.Rose, SVM Boutique, Starbucks, Clean Juice, Pokéworks, Jón Alan Salon, Sercy + Co., Club Pilates, Massage LuXe, drybar, and HOTBOX.
