Numerous projects are underway at Schilling Farms, Boyle’s 443-acre, mixed-use community in Collierville.
Leasing is underway at The Carrington at Schilling Farms, Boyle’s new upscale boutique community comprised of corner retail and 111 above-market apartment flats and townhomes. Situated on a 5-acre site at the northeast corner of Schilling and Winchester Boulevards, the project represents Boyle’s re-entry into multi-family development. This initial joint venture is between Boyle’s longtime partner at Schilling Farms, Harry Smith, along with multi-family veterans Clyde Patton and Bruce Taylor, whose company, Patton & Taylor Construction Company, is building the project. The project was conceived by Rusty Bloodworth and Les Binkley of Boyle’s development team with design enhancements by Historical Concepts of Atlanta in association with Mitch Hall. Boyle is handling retail leasing and LEDIC Management Group is handling apartment leasing and management.
The project’s architectural style is reminiscent of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Buildings are arranged in a traditional neighborhood pattern, which frames and strengthens the project’s formal public realm. The community includes 1,200 square feet of ground floor corner retail for a coffee shop or delicatessen, which provides a unique amenity and gathering place for residents.
“We are excited about the first multi-family community Boyle has developed in more than 30 years,” says Les Binkley, Vice President of Boyle. “The project has been well received in the market due to its size and uniqueness coupled with the greater sophistication of the renting public and the expectations they hold.”
Boyle received preliminary site plan approval from the town of Collierville for Carrington West, a boutique residential community of 125 flats and townhomes with construction anticipated in 2015.”
Approximately 24,799 square feet of ground floor space is available for lease at Schilling Farms Business Center, a 62,000-square foot, “Class A,” one-story office/flex building. The building provides 336 parking spaces, controlled access, individual signage, and storage with rear load doors.
Helena Chemical Company has extended its lease for ten years for 100,000 square feet on Schilling Boulevard. Helena has been an office tenant since 2001 when the company took occupancy of a four-story ‘Class A’ corporate headquarters facility on a 6.2 acre site. Almost 40 percent of the building’s site is devoted to open space with 350 trees and a pedestrian walkway.
