Ambitious Capitol View Project Lands Construction Loan as Next Phase Begins

Nashville Business Journal

The next phase of construction on Capitol View, the ambitious mixed-use development in the North Gulch being led by Boyle Investment Co. on behalf of site owner Northwestern Mutual, is set to begin today.

The Tennessean reports that Northwestern’s lending arm has provided a $73 million construction loan for work that will impact some 4.5 acres, with plans for this phase calling for 378 apartments, 60,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, 40,000 square feet of loft-style offices and a parking garage with 1,000 spaces. This phase of construction is valued at $115 million.

HCA recently opened its new office tower in Capitol View, developed on land the hospital giant purchased in the project. LifeWay Christian Resources is building a new headquarters in the project, also on land it bought.
