Big mixed-use development in Collierville underway
Collierville is set to get a new $50 million mixed-use development.
On Friday, Feb. 6, Boyle Investment Co. announced Morrison Village as its latest project in the suburb. It plans to bring apartments, retail, and parks to vacant land off of Houston Levee Road near Highway 385.
“Morrison Village is designed to foster community and provide a vibrant, walkable environment that connects residents to nature and local businesses,” Les Binkley, SVP at Boyle Investment Co., said in a release. “With its unique mix of retail, residential, and green space, Morrison Village will be a destination for living, working, and recreation in Collierville.”
Binkley is listed as the project representative.
The 11.5-acre project would bring 100 apartments, eight live/work units, 28,600 square feet of retail space, direct access to the greenbelt trail near Nonconnah Creek, and a build-to-suit retail building at the future signalized corner of South Shea Road and Houston Levee Road, according to the release.
Boyle’s website shows the project is set to also bring a hotel, daycare, bank, townhomes, offices, and restaurants.
Construction began in January, and Boyle expects the shell retail buildings to be completed by the end of the year. The real estate company also expects to begin leasing the apartments by summer 2027.
Boyle owns and is the developer of the project. Memphis-based Linkous Construction is the general contractor, LRK is the architect, and Kimley-Horn is engineering and designing the site.
Charleston, South Carolina-based Greystar is set to oversee apartment management and leasing. Jonathan Aur with Jones Aur Commercial Real Estate will lease and manage the commercial space.
Morrison Village is the latest Collierville project Boyle has launched, following its ongoing development of the Schilling Farms Water Tower District, a 50-acre mixed-use development off Poplar Avenue.
Boyle has owned the site and land around it for decades, and one of its entities transferred the property to its affiliate Morrison Village Investments LLC this past December, according to Shelby County property records.
