Boyle Buys Spring Creek Ranch Acreage

Boyle Investment Co. through its subsidiary SCR Bravo Investments LLC has purchased the remaining 168 acres of land at Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville for $4.3 million.

The seller was Spring Creek LLC, a partnership formed by the Meyer family, which also owns Spring Creek Ranch Golf Course. The acquisition means Boyle is now both the owner and developer of the remaining 340 lots, which will be developed in phases over the next decade.

Spring Creek Ranch is the upscale, master-planned community off Raleigh-LaGrange Road in the Collierville rural reserve area surrounding the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course of the same name.

Boyle was selected by the Meyer family in 2006 to develop the residential community surrounding the golf course. Spring Creek Ranch was the site of the April 2007 Vesta Home Show held by the Memphis Area Home Builder Association, and made history by all seven homes selling prior to the opening of the show.

Gary Thompson, vice president of Boyle, said in a release that the area is inside the “future premier beltway” of Tenn. 385 and future Interstate 269, the high-growth area for Shelby County.

“It is our intention to carry on the development of Spring Creek Ranch using the same master plan and high quality that was established early on at this upscale community,” Thompson said. “With the beltway nearing completion, Spring Creek Ranch is ideally located inside the loop and close to Collierville public schools, including Collierville Middle School, Houston High School and Tara Oaks Elementary, as well as the campuses of Briarcrest (Christian) School and St. George’s (Independent School).”

Boyle has already begun development of Spring Creek Ranch with three differing areas, including the Grand Manor, the Manor and the Village, each offering low county-only taxes in the Collierville future annexation zone.

When completed, the conservation community will be linked with miles of natural trails and walking paths. Existing community amenities include walking trails, tennis courts and a swimming pool with cabanas.

Homes range from $300,000 to more than $1 million. Lots are available for custom homes in the Grand Manor and a new phase of lots in the Village is coming soon.
