Commercial Real Estate

– The Commercial Appeal –

Mark Halperin, senior vice president of Boyle Investment Company, said Boyle expects to start construction on two or three buildings with 200,000 to 250,000 square feet of space in East Memphis by mid-1999.

One of those buildings is a six-story, 150,000-square-foot office. Boyle is planning to build it in a joint venture with Morgan Keegan & Company, which will consolidate its East Memphis branch offices in 50,000 square feet, or one-third of the new building.

Construction is expected to start in June. Completion is expected in January 2001, Halperin said. The site is near the Sedgwick office building at Ridgeway Center near Poplar and Interstate 240.

Boyle also is hopeful of starting another one or possibly two 50,000-square-foot office buildings in East Memphis and possibly starting an office building in 1999 in Collierville, Halperin said.
