Physician services company moving HQ to Brentwood

High-tech training facility to be part of building owned by Boyle, Ayers

The leaders of physician services provider SpecialtyCare plan to add 124 local jobs in the coming months and are planning to relocate their home office to Maryland Farms from West End.

SpecialtyCare provides various support services — such as perfusion and neuromonitoring — at more than 1,000 hospitals and health systems around the country. The company employs about 2,000 clinicians and last year was acquired by New York-based private equity firm Kohlberg & Co. Its headquarters is now in the One American Center on West End Avenue but will move to the Eastpark 3 building on the eastern edge of Maryland Farms.

SpecialtyCare will lease all of that building’s 40,000 square feet, which, in addition to offices, will feature clinical training facilities including an expanded simulation operating room and classrooms. Eastpark owners Ayers Asset Management and Boyle Investment are adding glass to the complex’s three buildings, overhauling their hardscape and landscaping and modernizing building systems and common areas.

“This move allows us to further support that growth by bringing our administrative and training teams that support our clinicians under one roof in Eastpark,” CEO Sam Weinstein said in a statement. “The larger, modernized space with its upgraded training facilities provides room to expand and gives us easy access to local resources.”
