Real estate notes: Capitol View developer aids fund

With work underway on Block E at their mixed-use Capitol View development Boyle Nashville and Northwestern Mutual Wednesday announced a donation to the Arthur E. Newman Scholarship Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

According to a release, the fund is intended to endow permanently one or more scholarships benefiting full-time HealthStream employees who have been employed for at least one year and who are furthering their education in person or online.

In lieu of a groundbreaking for Block E — which will include an office tower to accommodate HealthStream — Boyle and Northwestern Mutual donated the $5,000 check Wednesday afternoon.

Regarding the announcement of the retirement of Newman, HeathStream Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Frist Jr. said, “We thank Art for his extraordinary leadership on HealthStream’s executive team for the last 16 years.”

At the event, Eddie Pearson and Mollie Condra represented HealthStream, Henry Lange represented Northwestern Mutual, and Jeff Haynes and Thomas McDaniel represented Boyle.

The drilling of piers began on Block E this past Monday.

Boyle has yet to announce what hotel will occupy the portion of Block E located next to the office building.
