vineyard vines® by OAK HALL Opens at Regalia

Brothers Shep and Ian Murray, CEOs and Co-founders of vineyard vines®, have partnered with the Levy family, owners of Oak Hall, to open a 6,000-square-foot store at Boyle’s Regalia specialty center in East Memphis. The store is a collaboration of the Levy family’s generations of retail expertise and tradition paired with the classic and laid-back vineyard vines lifestyle, creating a unique brand experience.

vineyard vines, a company best known for its elegant neckties, was founded in 1998 on Martha’s Vineyard by brothers Shep and Ian Murray. The company now offers a variety of accessories and apparel for men, women, and children. The brand is sold in over 600 specialty and department stores worldwide.

“There are only seven other vineyard vines stores in the entire United States, so we’re fortunate that Boyle’s Regalia center is home to the new Memphis store,”
said Cary Whitehead, Senior Vice President of Boyle, which owns and manages Regalia at Poplar Avenue and Shady Grove.

According to Bill Levy, the new store displays the vineyard vines line in its entirety. “We have been carrying the vineyard vines collections for five years, and during that period the collection has grown from primarily a neckwear resource to the fastest growing line in our store. Although we still carry vineyard vines products at Oak Hall, the vineyard vines by Oak Hall store gives us an opportunity to showcase the complete vineyard vines collection for men, women and children in one location.”

The partnership between these two family businesses seamlessly combines an established Southern institution with the classic New England lifestyle. Oak Hall, founded 148 years ago by Solomon Halle, is currently run by fifth generation Bill and Bob Levy and sixth generation Will Levy. Shep and Ian anticipate that vineyard vines, established ten years ago, will thrive off of the same retail and entrepreneurial spirit that exists within the Levy family.

Shep Murray commented, “We are delighted to partner with our friends, the Levys, and bring our two family businesses together. They have grown a successful business around quality, customer service, and apparel, the same things we feel passionate about at vineyard vines. More importantly, they’ve believed in our brand since day one, and we are thrilled to share the success of vineyard vines with them.”

Oak Hall, one of the oldest retail stores in the country, is still run by the same family, has offered the finest quality clothing and exceptional customer service for 148 years, and has earned a reputation as the premier purveyor of men and women’s clothing and accessories in Memphis and the Mid-South area.
